As promised, I would like to inform you constantly about our activity.

Our project deals with the hardest, saddest and most painful period of a person's life – old age – the period in which the human being heads slowly and faltering towards Eternity....
How would we want this period to be for ourselves?

Unfortunately, in most cases, old age is defined by loneliness, sickness, poverty, uncertainty, tears and even suicidal thoughts. These are also the problems of the people we assist: Varvara Bartha, Margareta Barcean, Eva Bergar, Irina Cristea, Susana Gall, Melinda Ilies, Elisabeta Palfi, Ana Stefan and Ana Torok.

[More:]

The services and the activities were directed according to these specific needs of the age and also according to the resources of the foundation. They were of a real help for these people this month and they are the following:

Visits at home, once or twice a week, time in which they were able to talk about their problems, health problems and be helped and encouraged to trust God in the crises situations (and not only).

They have received financial aid between 60 – 150 RON, for food, detergents, sanitary products, taxes.

They were helped materially with clothing, shows, medicines, fridges, water meters, others.

Emotional-support group – those who were able to go out of the house took part of. We discussed about worrying and also just spent time together so that they would see each other, pray together and thus forget about their loneliness.

Enjoying each other's company

We ended our meeting with a walk in the park enjoying the verdure and the sun, after which each went home.

We celebrated Melinda Ilies's birthday, who after two months of health issues which forced her to stay in bed, has finally succeeded to forget a little bit her state and enjoy the present, the sweets and the prayers.

Besides all these they asked me to make time to read the Bible and pray for their needs and their state and thank God for the help He provided through the sponsors.

We have taken advantage of the beautiful weather and the high spirits of the ladies and we went to a cafeteria where they were as joyful as children, but shy and with common sense.

As plans for the future, we intend:
to study the book of Psalms which abounds with the beauty of God and which I hope will be a tool which might help them become more self confident (with those who want this activity)
to organize a camp around Cluj (accompanied by a nurse) so that they would gladden their eyes with the surroundings and thus forget about loneliness and relax
to organize meetings in different neighborhoods for 1 or 2 hours in which they would see each other and talk about their everyday lives and thus become friends.

We want you to know is that all we have done and are doing for these lonely souls is that they might feel loved by God and by people. We thank those who have supported us (be it financially, materially or through prayers) and helped us turn this wish into reality.

2 Corinthians 1: 3, 4
“Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of all mercies, and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our tribulation, that we may be able to comfort them which are in any trouble, by the comfort wherewith we ourselves are comforted by God”
