SEPTEMBER-NOVEMBER
A new hectic work year has begun in September. We are happy to inform you that starting with this month we have a new colleague at Day Center for Teenagers. Her name is Mihaela Coman and she's very dedicated to the teenagers, her proficiency and her skills being a real resource for the work we are doing at the Center.

September has brought new challenges from which the greatest were:
1. Taking over in our project new 7th and 8th grade teenagers
32 former and new assisted teenagers were taken in our evidence already, 10 of them being in the last year of assistance (10th grade), 4 of them being in the 9th grade and 18 of them are new in the project and they are 7th and 8th grade teenagers.
We have met these teenagers by doing a sustained work of promoting in schools (during school classes or during parents meetings) and mass-media (local newspapers and radios) the social assistance we are able to give.
The selection of the assisted teenagers was made by evaluating their financial, emotional, social and educational difficulties. Many of the new assisted teenagers come from mono parental families who are struggling with serious financial, emotional problems because of the experience of loss and death they have to surpass.
2. Renewal of our yearly request for support from the Town Hall.
Again, as we got used with it already, we had to prepare for our Town Hall the description of the Center's work, of the activities we plan for the next year with the teenagers, of the strategy we are going to use in achieving our goals; in short: a lot of paper work in order to apply for the Town Hall Support.
3.The selection of 15 volunteers who will give educational assistance at Romanian Language and Math to the 7th and 8th grade teenagers in order to prepare and help them to sustain their exams and continue their studies. So, the tutoring activities for the 7th and 8th grade teenagers have started because of volunteers help who began with our teenagers weekly tutoring meetings. We, the workers from the Center are so thankful and encouraged by the work, dedication, enthusiasm and passion of these special people.
