DECEMBER

This month the teenagers from the Day Center had the opportunity to participate to a Christmas Program where they enjoyed a carols concert and they saw a play about the danger of emphasising the Christmas symbols and forgetting about the real meaning of this holiday.

In December we continued the regular meetings with the teenagers at the support groups. We talked about the different sources of influence in our lives, we analysed them and the teenagers were challenged to make decisions according to God's will and to resist peer pressure. With some of the teenagers we met at the maths and Romanian literature and grammar tutoring in order to prepare them for this year's exams.

We ended the December activities with a Birthday Party at the Day Center, a party where we celebrated Jesus's Birth, the One who was born into this world for our sake. We had guests with whom we sang carols and we talked about the real meaning of Christmas and about our Saviour Jesus Christ. One cannot go to a birthday party without giving a present for the one being celebrated, so we were all challenged to surrender our lives to Lord Jesus as a present for Him.

The decorations we had in the Day Center, the cakes donated by the Pralina bakery and the juice, they all helped us get into the party atmosphere. Besides all these, the teenagers were very glad to receive food supplies from the Town Hall, sweets from the Mair of Cluj, Emil Boc, and a present from the Blythswood Organisation.
