JUNE
Celebrating the 1st of June
We began the month of June by celebrating the uniqueness and the beauty of every teenager. We planned a special meeting for all the teenagers from the Day Centre in which we experienced the joy of being a child.
We organised a Scavenger Hunt through all the city. The teenagers were divided into small teams and they had to complete all kinds of tasks in a short amount of time. The first team to complete all the assignments was the winner team. They all experienced teamwork and courage facing the challenges and they managed to obtain free flowers which they offered to some old ladies they met on the street; they also had to collect potatoes, tomatoes and train tickets.

They had to get a map to Gherla drawn and signed by taxi drivers, they had to find out what movies they were on that week at the Republica Cinema.
Every team had to make a good deed and they had the liberty to choose what to do and to be creative.

At the end of the game, we all gathered at the Day Center and the teams received prises. We had a cake and juice and each teenager received a gift and food supplies from the Town Hall of Cluj.

The 1st of June meant for our teenagers more than joy and fun, because they leaned valuable lessons about teamwork, about facing the challenges, about living in a community and about having faith in people.
Other social activities and leisure
Also during this month we had a pyjamas party with our teenager girls at the Day Center. We prepared the dinner together, we had games and we got to know each other better, we became better friends. We watched a movie and we had a discussion about the boy-girl relationship at this young age.

In June we had a meeting between our teenagers and a group of teenagers from the Speranta Pentecostal Church aiming to create friendships with a positive impact on the teenagers from the Day Center.
Farewell Party
At the end of June, we all said goodbye to Anca Negrean, the Day Center Coordinator, the one who had the vision of this program for teenagers, the one who fought for years for the rights and well-being of our teenagers. They all found the comfort they needed in her work, dedication and enthusiasm.
We will miss her at the Day Center, but we know that for a while, her calling is to be a good mother for Mihai Edmund.
