Fundatia de Caritate Herald wishes to start a project entitled “A HOME WHERE TO RAISE MY CHILD”, and the first step is acquiring a piece of land of about 3.000 square meters, located somewhere nearby Cluj-Napoca city, with or close to utilities, in order to build ten apartments for ten mono parental families (ten single mothers).

Short description of the project :
1. Number of beneficiaries : 10
2. Land surface : 3.000 square maters, with or close to utilities, nearby Cluj, that is to be acquired by donation.
3. The houses will be built by the organization Habitat for Humanity.
4. The value of a house : 22.000 EURO. 11.000 EURO out of this will be paid by FCH through fundraising and the rest of it will be paid by the beneficiary, by installments, according to Habitat payment policy.

Now back to the land topic, we think that the potential donors might be either land owners who own more than one piece of land and decide to give up one of them for charity or families who own a piece of land and choose to donate it in exchange of receiving a house for themselves, built by Habitat.
We don’t intend to restraint the range of potential donors by listing the aforementioned categories but we are launching our request to any individual willing to help.

Fund raising events have become a top priority for Fundatia de Caritate Herald.

Therefore, in 2008 we have organized 3 successful events :
- on 8th of April – an auction with objects of art (namely, painting and sculpture). We earned 20.000 lei. The money was used throughout a period of 5 months for the social services offered by FCH.
- on 10th of December – a piano recital performed by Daniel Goiti. We earned 16.500 lei. This money was also used as a mean to accomplish our social assistance activities.
- between 15th-20th of December – the campaign Basket of Joy at Iulius Mall – in order to raise food products. The value of benefits was 9.000 lei. The provision is going to be used for several months (January-July 2009).
